Vivienne and Bernard Heydorn, the principal instructors, have been dancing for many years. Vivienne hails from the United Kingdom and Bernard from South America (Guyana). Norfolk Ballroom Dancers was established in Norfolk County in 2004. Since then, instructors from Hamilton and Brazil have also been utilized.

Norfolk Ballroom Dancers have performed at the Norfolk County Fair and other venues around Norfolk County. They have been featured in newspaper articles in and around the county. Vivienne and Bernard's most recent community service was to run a workshop in Foxtrot at 16th Ave. Elementary School in Richmond Hill, north of Toronto, May 2010, introducing about 180 young students to Ballroom dancing.
